Expedition Classroom

Rivendell Interstate School District has developed two therapeutic day programs to support students in grades K-12 who struggle with emotional difficulties through daily access to therapeutic and educational supports. The primary goals of The Expedition Classroom are to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.  The program is grounded on the premise that, for some children, emotional difficulties constitute the chief obstacle standing in the way of their learning, and that these children require that adults pay closer attention to them. It is the program’s aim to bolster students’ self-esteem, as well as emotional and behavioral regulation, to enable them to participate, eventually, in a less therapeutic setting.
