Resources for Students and Families

(Links to all organizations are provided as a courtesy and are not maintained or monitored by RISD).

Given our challenging economic times, more and more families are feeling the pinch.  The area resources listed below may be helpful.


  • Rivendell Academy Free and Reduced Breakfast and Lunch Program – You may obtain a free/reduced lunch application from Angel Parkin.  By qualifying for free or reduced lunch, your child will either receive a free breakfast and lunch, or those qualifying for reduced will receive a free breakfast and lunch.  Students and staff are not made aware of which students are receiving a free or reduced lunch and those students qualifying receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) just like all students. This free and reduced breakfast and lunch information is kept confidential.


  • If you need legal help, New Hampshire Legal Services Legal Advice and Referral Center can be reached by calling 1-800-639-5920 and Vermont Legal Aid at 1-800-747-5022.

  • Kiwanis Club of the Upper Valley has donated some backpacks and school supplies for students.  Please contact your school counselor if your child could use one.
