Annual Meeting Information

ANNUAL MEETING: Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no in-person meeting this year.

ANNUAL REPORT: This year’s annual report will be created to be more user friendly, economical, and practical. Our hope is that most community members will be able to access the report electronically on the local listservs and website. We will provide each town office with hard copies and mail hard copies to anyone who emails a request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by March 4th.

VOTING: Voting on the budget and officers will be by Australian ballot. In the interest of keeping our poll-workers safe, we are once again encouraging everyone to vote by mail. Ballots will be mailed to each registered voter in an envelope labeled “Official Rivendell Ballot Enclosed.” If you do not receive your ballot by March 1st, please contact your Town Clerk. Voted ballots must be received at your town office by 3PM March 16th. For those desiring to vote in person or to drop off a ballot, polls will be open at Rivendell Academy 5-7PM on March 16th.

INFORMATION MEETINGS: There will be two information meetings held remotely via Zoom. This is your chance to learn about the budget, ask questions and offer comments. You can dial in on your phone or connect through the internet.

Morning Routes

Bus #1 – Vershire East/West 7:25AM begins at Ward’s Garage; travels east on Rte. 113; reaches Vershire Center at 7:30AM; 7:35AM Eagle Hollow; 7:39AM Beaver Meadow; 7:45AM arrives at WES; Picks-up 6th graders & departs immediately for SME & RA; 8:05AM arrives at RA; departs RA for SME; 8:15AM arrives at SME.

Bus #2 – Vershire North/South 7:20AM begins at the junction of Rte. 113 and Vershire Town Center Rd; turns left onto South Vershire Rd; turns left onto Beanville Rd, turns left onto Parker Rd, turns around at Chamberland Rd; returns to Rte. 113; 7:45AM arrives at WES; after dropping-off students bus departs WES for RA & SME; 8:00AM arrives at RA; 8:10AM arrives at SME

Bus #3 – West Fairlee 7:05AM begins at the consolidated stop at Jennings Hill & Wild Hill Rd; stops at the intersection of Middlebrook & Bloodbrook Rd & along Middlebrook; turns left onto Rte. 244; stops beyond Treasure Island; turns onto Bloodbrook Rd; turns around at open Acre Ranch; continues back onto Rte. 244; turns right onto Crossroad; turns right onto Rte. 113; 7:45AM arrives at WES; Departs WES for SME & RA; 8:05AM arrives at RA; 8:10AM arrives at SME.

Bus #4 – Route 244/Bragg Hill/Terry Hill/Route 5 7:25AM begins at the junction of Rte. 5 & Rte. 244; Travels Bloodbrook Rd. & out to turnaround; 7:35AM continues back to Rte. 5 North; turns left onto Lake Morey Rd; 7:45AM turns left onto Terry Hill Rd; travels to the top of Terry Hill Road and turns around at 7:48AM; travels to Fairview Square 7:58AM; travels back to Rte. 5; 8:05AM arrives at RA; departs RA for SME; 8:10AM arrives at SME.

Bus #5 – Fairlee 7:25AM begins on Route 5 South at the Bradford/Fairlee town line; picks-up along Rte. 5 to Wells River Savings Bank in Fairlee; travels to Lake Morey Road and circles the lake; 8:00AM arrives at RA, departs RA for SME; 8:10AM arrives at SME.

Bus #6 – Orford 7:20AM begins at the Warren Village School; travels along Rte. 25 and turns right onto Rte. 25A; turns right onto Baker Pond Rd; 7:40AM turns around at Prettyman Rd and travels back to Rte. 25A picking up along the way to RA; 8:00AM arrives at Rivendell Academy; drops students off at RA and travels to SME; 8:10AM arrives at SME.

Bus #7 – Route 10 7:35AM begins at Piermont Village School; picks-up students along Rte. 10; 7:45AM turns left onto Grimes Hill Rd; turns around and heads back to Rte. 10; 7:50AM stops on Archertown Rd; travels south on Rte. 10 reaching Thompson Excavation at 7:55AM; travels north on Rte. 10; 8:00AM arrives at RA; departs RA for SME; 8:10AM arrives at SME.

Bus #8 – Orford/Indian Pond/Dame Hill 7:40AM begins on Norris Road and travels to Indian Pond Rd picking up along the way; turns right onto Rte. 25A and travels to RA picking up along the way; 8:00AM arrives at RA; 8:10AM arrives at SME

Afternoon Routes

Bus #1 –Departs SME at 1:55PM and travels to WES with all SME students who live in Vershire & West Fairlee. 2:15PM departs WES & reverses the morning route. Returns to WES to meet RA students. Departs WES at 3:00 repeating the run.

Bus #2 –Departs WES at 2:20PM with WES students & reverses the morning route. Returns to WES to meet RA students. Departs WES at 3:00PM repeating the run.

Bus #3 –Departs WES at 2:20PM & reverses the morning run. Returns to WES to meet RA students. Departs WES at 3:00PM and repeating the run.

Bus #4 –Departs SME at 2:20PM for RA. Departs RA at 2:30PM for WES dropping students off along the way. Arrives at WES 3:00PM.

Bus #5 –Departs SME at 2:20PM for RA. Departs RA at 2:30PM. Travels to Lake Morey Rd; travels to Terry Hill Rd; turns around and travels back to Lake Morey Rd; travels to Fairview St. and circles the lake; travels back to Rte. 5 North

Bus #6 –Departs SME at 2:20PM for RA. Departs RA at 2:30PM & reverses the morning route.

Bus #7 –Departs SME at 2:20PM for RA. Departs RA at 2:30PM & reverses the morning route.

Bus #8 –Departs SME at 2:20 for RA. Departs RA at 2:30PM & reverses the morning route.

Riverbend VOC Run Departs: 8:15AM  - Depart Oxbow at 1:55PM

Note: All routes and times are subject to change. The max number of students currently allowed on a bus is 26. We strongly encourage parent/guardian transportation. Please be at your designated bus stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time. Routes may only be changed by Rivendell’s Director of Transportation in conjunction with the Superintendent. WES = Westshire Elementary School

Note: All routes and times subject to change. Currently the max number of students we can fit on a bus is 26 so we strongly encourage families to drive your kids to school if possible. If our numbers become unmanageable, we will have to alter the bus routes to accommodate our needs. Students must be at the designated bus stops 5 minutes before scheduled bus time. If the routes take too long, we may have to set up cluster stops. Routes may only be changed by Rivendell’s Director of Transportation in conjunction with the Superintendent.
