Professional Development

The learning community at Rivendell holds the same norms and values of lifelong learning for both students and adults.  The professional community at Rivendell is engaged in real learning opportunities that are active, collaborative and allow all voices to be heard.

Our professional development model consists of the following tenets:

• Emphasis on individual development AND organizational development
• Coherent, continuing intervention
• Emphasis on inquiry into/study of teaching and learning
• Focus on student needs and learning outcomes
• Multiple forms of job-embedded training (coaching, staff meetings, peer review, critical friends groups)
