Courses

Rivendell Academy runs a trimester schedule with a six period day for grades 7-8 and five period day for grades 9-12. Each block is sixty-five (62) minutes for grades 9-12, fifty-five (55) for grades 7-8. Core courses in grades 7-10 meet for the entire year.  All other courses meet for one or two trimesters.

The 7/8 model is integrated and runs on a two-year rotation.  Classes are designed using a multi-age model.  Seventh and eighth graders are grouped together in all core classes except math which is grouped by grade level.
