Rivendell Community Science Celebration at Montshire Museum of Science

Tuesday evening, April 30, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Montshire Museum and Rivendell Interstate School District invite all Rivendell students in Preschool through Grade 6 and their families to an evening open house at the Museum to celebrate science! Students will be able to show parents some of the science they have done this year as part of the Montshire School Partnership. The Museum's exhibit halls will also be open for this Rivendell Community Science Celebration. We hope to see you there!

Mr. Christie-Maples was awarded the Horace Mann Abraham Lincoln Fellowship

Congratulations to Mr. Christie-Maples, 5th/6th grade social studies teacher at Westshire this year and at Samuel Morey next year, who was awarded the Horace Mann Abraham Lincoln Fellowship. As a fellow he'll spend a week of his summer learning about Lincoln by touring various historical sites in Illinois, including the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site, Lincoln's home, Lincoln's tomb and the Old State Capitol Historic Site.
