Samuel Morey awarded a Zero Waste Grant

Samuel Morey Elementary School has been granted $1,704 for the purchase of reusable bowls, trays, plates, silverware, water bottles, and a magnetic trash can through the School Zero Waste Grant available through the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District. The water bottles will be sold as a fund raiser in hopes of purchasing another water bottle refilling station. These purchases will cut down on the amount of waste being sent to the landfill, saving tax payer dollars by avoiding the purchase and disposal costs of disposable items.

Glencliff Mural Project

As a joint effort between Megan Perkin's Senior Project, Leo's Club, and the efforts of Ms. Barsamian's Functional Art class, students produced large scale paintings to be hung on the walls of the Glencliff tunnels. Students presented the work to an audience of enthusiastic residents. Click here to see pics of the event.
