Important Information about this Year’s Visions Program

Many of you have expressed concern about the future of the Visions Afterschool Program. Unfortunately we learned in late April that we would not receive another 21st Century grant. For the past ten years, our schools have had the distinction of running exemplary programs. These after school and summer camps were supported by federal money from the 21st Century grant, tuition fees and the local school budget. With no money from the grant and our funding cut in half, we have had to make difficult decisions about how to keep the programs operating. To save money, we’ve eliminated the Director’s position, cut summer programming, and raised tuition rates. We are committed to Visions and will keep searching for creative ways to ensure these excellent programs continue.
