Greetings from Gail

sme 01112013Next week we will be practicing one of our safety drills—the lock down drill. This procedure will require
teachers to make surestudents are out of harm's way in the possibility that there is a threatening intruder on the school grounds. Teachers will talk to their students, explaining the drill in developmentally appropriate language being careful not to scare children. We think it is important for parents to also discuss with their students why the school is practicing such a drill.
