Gail Keiling and Penny Perryman Receive VAEOP Awards

Rivendell's former Head of Schools/Samuel Morey Elementary School Principal, Gail Keiling, and Penny Perryman, Executive Assistant/Human Resources Manager recently received awards from the Vermont Association of Educational Office Professionals (VAEOP) at their fall conference at Lake Morey Resort.

Gail Keiling was awarded VAEOP's 2016 Administrator of the Year Award. Each year the VAEOP asks members to nominate an educational administrator who deserves recognition for their support of educational office professionals, their experience and contribution to education in general and their support of VAEOP. Keiling was nominated by Rivendell employees, Angel Parkin and Penny Perryman. VAEOP, after a review of all applications, selected Keiling for this award.

Perryman was the recipient of VAEOP's Apple Award, which is presented to outstanding educational office professionals who have made a special contribution to support the education of Vermont's students through their work. She was nominated for this award by former Rivendell Superintendent, Brenda Needham. Perryman has worked for Rivendell since the beginning of the District starting in 1999. She is on the VAEOP Board of Directors as the Region 5 Chairperson and is also an active member of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals.
