Rivendell Academy becomes a Darfur Dream Team "Sister School"

Rivendell Academy has joined more than 300 U.S. middle school, high school and college "sister schools" who partner with schools in refugee camps in Chad. Ms. Robison's 7th grade advisory initiated this partnership as part of the Academy's new advisory program; however, all students can join in and help out.

Our sister school, Choula B, is located in the Goz Amer refugee camp in Chad. Refugees living in Goz Amer have fled violence in Darfur, in their home country of Sudan. Rivendell students have the opportunity to communicate directly with students in our sister school via video. Our first video message, produced by Rivendell's 7th grade students, left for Chad on Friday, October 18. The students are now working on educating their peers about the crisis in Sudan and organizing a fundraiser.
